The needs of the traumatized are many. It comes from their struggles. Anxiety about what people think. Depression. Difficulty concentrating. Sensitivity to words and actions. Lack of sleep due to nightmares or anxious dreams. Feeling left out or on the sidelines. Trying to self-soothe with behaviors and habits that are unhealthy or even harmful.
This burden not only the individual but those around them who want to love them. But whose love is never enough.
Because healing needs to start inside ourselves.
That is why there is trauma therapy. To unravel the heaviness that wraps around the heart. To lift the spirit to believe again. To heal.
